About the Israel Society of Anesthesiologists

There are approximately 750 anesthesiologists physicians in Israel, specialists and interns, responsible for administering anesthesia to relieve pain and for managing vital life functions, including breathing, heart rhythm and blood pressure, during surgery. The anesthesiologist is also involved in postoperative pain management, chronic pain management, and providing pain relief during childbirth.
In critical care and trauma medicine, the anesthesiologist assists in supporting respiratory and cardiovascular functions, controlling infection, providing airway management, cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation, advanced life support, and pain control.

Lifebox project

The Israel Society of Anesthesiologists donated 2000$ for a project of WHO (WHO - World Health Organization) and WFSA (WFSA - World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists) dedicated to improve the safety and quality of surgical care in low-resource countries.
